August 2015 – It has become even easier for merchants to add MasterPass™, the innovative new payment solution by MasterCard®, to their payment portfolio: the respective plug-ins for the 18 most common shopping carts are now available in customweb’s software portal sellXed. With the use of the plugins, a merchant can activate MasterPass with just one click.

MasterPass is a digital wallet with which payment- and shipping information - is secured and transmitted to the merchant during the payment process following the highest German security standards. Hence, the payment process is reduced to only a few clicks and becomes significantly faster and easier to manage.

MasterPass users save time by avoiding the complete registration process which includes entering payment information into the online shop. This way, the checkout becomes streamlined and the shopping experience becomes more convenient because of authentication features. In turn, this increases conversion significantly – especially regarding mobile shopping.

Issuing banks such as Sparda Bank have made MasterPass accessible to numerous customers by introducing the innovative solution. Customers who are not using MasterPass yet can register in just a few steps.
