Integration of the Payment Request API via Stripe
What is new?
The Payment Request API facilitates the exchange of your customer’s stored payment information between the browser and your store.
For example, if a customer has previously stored his card details in his browser, you will be able to request that information from the browser, instead of having your customer fill out the full checkout form again.
This new integration enables you to process payments via Stripe with Apple Pay, Google Pay and Microsoft Pay in your store. The payment methods will be automatically selected based on the browser used by the customer.
How does it work?
The payment method will be displayed as normal payment method in the checkout of your store. If the customer selects it, it will open an overlay and then select the correct payment method (among Google Pay, Apple Pay or Microsoft Pay) based on the browser.
Requirements
To be able to have this new feature available in your shop, you should update the Stripe payment module to the latest version that you can find on your Sellxed account in the section My Downloads.
